Board Members...

Sharon Odell
Board Chair
Sharon Odell is a Silver Springs resident who was appointed to the Board in 1995. She has served multiple times as a Board officer in various positions over the last 13 years, and has been a strong proponent of interagency cooperation. Odell runs a local Park City business and is an avid swimmer and dog walker. Odell is married and has three children who have graduated from Park City High in recent years.

Tim Douglas
Chair-Elect
Tim Douglas was appointed to the Basin Recreation Board in 1997, and has served as a Board officer in multiple positions over the last 11 years. Douglas is also actively involved in other committees for Summit County, including; BOSAC (Basin Open Space Advisory Committee), and Recreation RAP Tax Committee. Douglas, who resides in Silver Springs, is an avid trail user and advocate for trails. He has been involved in the planning of many miles of trail constructed by Basin Recreation since the time the District's Trail Master Plan was adopted.

Ron Perry
Treasurer
Ron Perry has lived in the Snyderville Basin since 1974, and has served as an elected public official for over 11 years. Perry was appointed to the Basin Recreation Board in 1996. He enjoys the view from his residence in Pinebrook which overlooks the Ecker Hill Field Complex. Perry works out regularly at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse and enjoys walking his dog on the trails.

Scott McCleland
Clerk
Scott McClelland moved to Park City in 1996 from Coral Springs, Florida after graduating with a BSBA from the University of Florida. He currently works as a Business Development Officer for Zions Resort Bank and loves meeting new people. He considers himself very lucky to be married to Caren McClelland, an ESL teacher for Jeremy Ranch Elementary. They have two children, Chase and Gracie. Scott sought a position on the Basin Recreation Board because of his love for sports and recreation. He enjoys mountain biking, skiing, running, triathlons, team sports, traveling and barbeques.

Scott Siemon
Member
Scott Siemon was appointed to the Basin Recreation Board in 2004. He is a long time resident of the Snyderville Basin where he has raised three sons. Siemon holds a degree in recreation, and has worked as a professional in the industry. He is currently employed as a school teacher, and brings helpful expertise to the Board from his many active years of coaching Ute Conference Football and other sports at the High School levell. He resides in the Silver Summit area.

Jim Moran
Member
Jim Moran was formerly the president of a voice and data communications company that he co-founded and later sold. He has worked as a real estate agent at Promontory since he moved to Park City four years ago, and has served on the Recreation Board since 2006. Moran, his wife Patty and their three boys; Mickey, Kyle and Ryan, enjoy skiing and all the outdoor activities that Park City can throw at them! They reside in Mountain Ranch Estates.

Tracey Douthett
Member
Tracey Douthett is the newest appointee to the Basin Recreation board. Her 4-year term began in January, 2008. By profession, Douthett is a landscape architect. She brings a keen eye in advising on planned improvements to park sites and trails in the Basin. Tracey considers herself very outdoorsy and her younger, past life includes bike touring, backpacking and rock climbing. She is a resident of Silver Springs where she can often be spotted enjoying the trails.

The Recreation District was created by the Summit County Commission, under the Utah Special Services District Act, to provide recreational services and facilities for residents of western Summit County residing in the unincorporated area outside of Park City. The seven-member Administrative Control Board of the Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to oversee the operation of the District.  All Board members are required to be a registered voter at the place of their residence in the Snyderville Basin, within the District boundaries. Board terms are 4-years, and vacancies are advertised to be filled at the end of each 4-year term. Board members may choose to apply for reappointment.
