Guided Trail Hikes...

Are you ready to see a different side of the Park City/Snyderville Basin area? Needing some exercise but are intimidated by our trails and/or some of the people on them? Basin Recreation will be offering guided hikes on our vast trail system. Our staff will instruct participants on proper trail etiquette, safety issues and trail knowledge as well as take the group on a hike. All lasting about 2 hours of your time, this will vary depending on the trail selected. Kids are welcome but no strollers please. We are also asking that you leave the dogs at home for this function. Although we allow leashed pets on our trails, we ask they stay home for the group setting.

We are planning hikes 2 times a month, some on our most common trails and others on our little known hideaways. This service is free and a great opportunity to meet some people, find some new trails and get some exercise.

• Meet at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse at 5PM

• Moderately strenuous 4 mile out and back hike on the backside of Glenwild

July 8th

• Thursday

• The Avenues Trail

• Meet at the Jeremy Ranch Park N' Ride at 5PM

• Moderate 4 mile loop with some elevation gain and loss

July 20th

• Tuesday

• Summit Park Trail

• Meet at the No Worries Cafe at 5PM

• Moderate 4 mile loop to get out of the heat

August 12th

• Thursday

• Rob's Trail to Mid Mtn. Trail

• Meet at the Park City Community Church Parking Lot at 5PM

• Moderately strenuous 4.5 mile out and back hike

August 24th

• Tuesday

• Summit Park Trail

• Meet at the No Worries Cafe at 5PM

• If you missed the first Summit Park Trail hike be sure to make this one

September 9th

• Thursday

• Spiro Trail

• Meet in the PCMR Parking Lot by the 3 Kings Lift at 5PM

• The fall colors should be out for this strenuous 3 mile out and back hike
